How satisfied are you with this reply?Router firmware updates are as important as updating any device's firmware. A firmware upgrade offers new features and security improvements. If you've had your wireless router for years, chances are there's a firmware upgrade you could and should perform. However, unlike updating computer software, which you can usually do with a simple updater toolrouter firmware upgrades are not as easy to understand.

One common reason as to why your router manufacturer may put out a firmware update is because they're trying to fix a vulnerability that was detected in the current firmware. It's similar to updating any device. When bugs are found and corrected, updated firmware is released so that users can actually implement those fixes. Router manufacturers might also issue a firmware update to add new features to the router, such as parental control settings or IPv6 support. Not updating your firmware in this situation might leave you missing out on speed boosting upgrades that could improve the overall performance of the network.

Some routers upgrade their firmware automatically, but this is only the case for newer, "smart" routers such as some mesh network routers. If you've heard that your router needs a firmware upgrade but you have one of these newer routers, check the update log in the app to see if the update has already been applied. Download the firmware file from a trusted source. Ideally, you'd get the firmware directly from the manufacturer's website.

It's not in progress, and I don't know how to reset this It might take a while for vCenter to update the status. Im not sure how this "update" state got started.

None of the VM's in this state are actually installing tools. The tools are definately not being updated at this time. This has bene in this state for weeks and im trying to find a way to clear this out.

For the other device I plugged it into a Fast Charger and it automatically rebooted just fine. I'd guess that the desk on the power cord has damaged the cord. The new switch may not draw as much current. If these 2 things are true, the damage to the cord could be blocking the higher current draw of the old switch, causing it to boot loop.

Another way is to press the Power and Volume Down buttons together for about 10 seconds. Continue holding when the screen turns blank. After a few second, it will reboot with the LG logo shown on the screen. At this point, release the Power button but continue pressing down the Volume Down button. The device will continue to reboot until normal screen comes on. However, if you release both buttons after stage S1the device will go back to Firmware Update screen again.
